While doing a trade show or sales out in the field, you only need to go into the "Visual Ordermate" module in VAM, and select the option to prepare data for external use. This will export all your Active Customers and Inventory Items which are available for sale in the Sales Order module. This way you don't carry unnecessary data. Printing barcode product labels and hang tags can also be done. Once the data is in your laptop/portable computer, you are ready to sale!

At your trade show or showroom, you provide your customer with a handheld laser scanner which will scan each item for purchase and enter the quantiy requested. Once finished they return the handheld to you and place it in front of the infrared port in the laptop and hit one button and all order information is extracted into the Laptop database. Next select the customer number, or add a new one and print a confirmation. It is that simple!.

At any time during the day, you may print or preview, reports of your sales performance so far. At the end of the day or trade show, press one button and it will create the necessary files which VAM needs to create those orders. You can either synchronize your laptop at the office or email the files.

Once the files are received by the Visual Ordermate, simply select to create orders, and the system will verify for valid customers and also allow you to process new customers.
